Herbal medicine can also be referred to as botanical medicine.

Long before recorded history began, people employed plants for medicinal purposes.

Different parts of a plant can be used for medicinal purposes. The flowers, leaves, bark, roots and even the seeds.  Each herb has its own properties.

Herbs, when used properly, can help treat many different conditions and sometimes even have fewer side effects.

Natural does not always mean safe.   Certain herbs might not be suitable for individuals who have certain medical conditions or are taking prescribed medication.

Always consult a medical professional before taking any herb.  Never stop taking prescribed medications in favor of herbs without first discussing it with your Doctor.
